DURIGON WELCOMES PROPOSALS THAT EMERGED DURING THE DEBATE ON ACTIVE LABOR POLICIES INCLUDING THOSE RELATED TO CITIZENSHIP INCOME.
Naples, Nov. 18, 2022 – “I am in favor of and welcome with extreme openness the request made by Fmpi to carry out the training of citizenship income recipients within companies’.
Thus opened his speech at the regional conference of the Federation of Medium and Small Enterprises, Undersecretary for Labor Claudio Durigon, who agreed’ to also elaborate on the proposal to amend the Fringe Benefit measure to turn deductibility into a tax credit.’ ‘
Regarding concerns about the implementation of differentiated autonomy, we will abide by the agreement made as the center right by implementing the rule without harming the regions. Italy will remain united – Senator Durigon’ concludes.
‘By now it is clear that citizenship income needs to be modified, particularly to address areas of unemployment and industrial desertification, such as Naples and parts of the Mezzogiorno. Therefore, the statements of Undersecretary of Labor, Claudio Durigon, are welcomed by us very much, adding that we hope that subsequent to the training they can be hired, with full decontribution.”
This was stated by FMPI Director General Salvatore Ronghi speaking at the proceedings of the regional conference of the Federation of Medium and Small Enterprises this morning in Naples.
“The government needs to give businesses and the world of work more concrete and structural answers,” – FMPI leaders added, voicing criticism of the so-called “fringe benefit”: “fringe benefits” are a tool that does not work, – FMPI speakers explained, – they are applied only in some large companies, but not in small businesses, because they are an additional unsustainable cost.
