FMPI HONORED WITH ITALIAN EXCELLENCE AWARD NINTH EDITION WASHINGTON DC – ROME

The president of the Federation of Medium and Small Enterprises, Antonina Terranova, accepted the Special Award 2022 for her continued commitment to Made in Italy, a benchmark for businesses, the backbone of the country.

The award is now in its ninth year and, in keeping with tradition, marks an important stop in the Roman capital. The Prize is celebrated every year in the week dedicated to Christopher Columbus, and was born in 2013 in Washington DC – in the capital of the Western world, an irreplaceable reference point of democratic, political and economic freedom – to tell the story of the Italy of Merit and Talent.

Eccellenza italiana is, therefore, the award that tells the story of the Italy it deserves and looks forward to the future with confidence. A future that is possible, responsible and sustainable is also possible through the commitment and work of so many businesses and a community that is created around events and awards such as today’s featuring FMPI and its identity journey.

“Small and medium-sized enterprises represent the backbone of the national production system and are central to Italy’s economic recovery and the defense and revitalization of Made in Italy, and for this reason they must be supported, especially at a time like the one we are experiencing today’. This was stated by the President of the Federation of Medium and Small Enterprises (FMPI), Antonina Terranova, as she collected the prestigious Eccellenza Italiana award at the Palace of the Holy See San Carlo ai Catinari.

The Prize rests its constitutive and foundational foundations on the values of merit and Italian talent that tells of the Italy that deserves, that fights, that does not stand still. In short, it wants to enhance and emphasize the Italian genius loci, which is well known in the world and is the basis of the fortune of Made in Italy. So it is always aimed at professionals and personalities from various sectors who have distinguished themselves for their work, but also at Italian-run businesses that, in such a delicate historical moment, have been able to generate value: for themselves, for the system, and for the entire Bel Paese.
